|Common names: Sierra Madre palm||Conservation status: Unknown|
This low growing relative of B. armata has perhaps the bluest leaves of any palm. It comes from Mexico and has a prostrate habit. It is rare in the wild and seeds are difficult to come by, often because the seeds are usually predated by insects.
