Dypsis cabadae

Synonymy: Chrysolidocarpus cabadae Distribution: Comoros Islands, near Madagascar
Common names: Cabada palm Conservation status: Originally described from cultivated plants in Cuba and thought for decades to be unknown in the wild, this species was recently discovered in habitat in the Comoros.
